How did I do yesterday with my new healthy life? Well, I think I did ok. We had cheeseburgers (cooked at home) for dinner at around 6pm. Just the cheeseburgers. Then around 730pm I started eating sunflower seeds. I think I'm only supposed to eat 1 cup. I probably ate 2, but that's all I ate after dinner! Then I went to be around 9pm.
Yesterday morning I drank my Slim Fast around 7am, ate a chicken thigh (fried)with a piece of bread around 1130 while watching Young and The Restless, ate another chicken thigh with a piece of bread around 2pm and then we ate the cheeseburgers at 6. Does that sound ok?
I forgot to tell yall about my classes. I just took my last GOVT exam yesterday. I believe I ended with an average of 84.5. That's a B! THAT'S over!!! Now, I've just got to finish up with History. I won't be pulling out a B there, but a C will do just fine. I'm trying my best though. History is just really hard for me. I need to pass one more class (History or Speech in July) to be off of financial aid suspension!!!
Today at 6:00pm, Mel will be meeting a possible "Big Couple" from the Big Brother/Big Sister organization! Yall pray for me. I've never done anything like this and it's gonna be hard for me to let my son go off with these people! We have to meet them today and then decide if we want them or not. They're a white, married couple. Both have degrees. One works in real estate, both have tutored children in the past, and they're 31 and 32. The man (I have their names written down) likes to go to sports games, play XBox and he sounds really active. Likes outdoors (that's what Mel wants!). I'm gonna tell yall all about them after they leave. I'll probably post it all this evening, so check back. Don't forget: pray for me. If these aren't the right people, I need God to show me.

Praying for you dear Sister! ((HUGS))
Awe I'm definitely praying for you and Mel!! Best of luck!
I think you did great...both with the eating and schooling...yeay for you!
You have me curious...what's the "Big Couple" thing you're talking about?
Oh Rachel, this is tough stuff. I hope and pray that everything goes well, and that God will give you wisdom about whether this is a right fit. Blessings on you.
Good for you, Rachel, for trying to eat right. Keep at it, even if you slip, get right back at it the next time. I was just thinking today, you know, even if I only was losing a tiny, tiny amount of weight each day or week, at least I am losing. It may take a while to add up, but it WILL add up. Look how quickly the small items add up to a big bill when we go to Wal-Mart or the grocery store. lol
Hang in there. I am glad things went good with the big couple. So far, so good. Just use discernment and pray about it. God bless you!
Me too - I am curious about the "big couple" - Thanks for stopping by my blog. Love that your are starting a weight loss blog too!!
